WHAT TO EXPECT?
Teens are able to register for their Loot Bags a month prior to pick up. Registration will include questions about your teen's favorite genre and two favorite snacks! Library books will be selected each month based on each participant's answers.
Each bag will include TWO library books with a return date coinciding with the next month's Loot Bag (ONE-month long check-out time!)
Participants can request different genres, fiction vs nonfiction, graphic novels, manga, audiobooks, or material type (i.e. audiobooks) each month. Also included will be their favorite snacks, themed activities, and Makerspace items (3D prints, wood engravings, etc.).
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Registration will open one month before the Loot Bag is available for pick up.
- For example, September will launch our revamped Loot Bags that will be available for pick up from September 1st through 31st. Registration for September opens on August first until the THIRD Saturday of the month. There are 30 open registrations spots. Registration will close on August 22nd, with pick up available on September 1st.
- Registration will be available until third Saturday of each month to allow for processing time, but you can pick up your bag ANY time during the month after the first.
WHAT DO I BRING BACK?
Please return your library books on the first day of each month! This date will coincide with the next Loot Bag pick up, creating a routine of fresh new books each month. Teens are welcome to re-check out books if they were unable to finish them during the month. These are the only items expected to return to the library.
HOW DO I GET MY TEEN STARTED?
Register each month for the next month's bag! This program has 30 available slots for registration. Books will be checked out to the registered teen, who must have an up-to-date library card in the Bridges Library System. A teen or guardian must present that card at pick up. Loot Bags can be picked up during all regular business hours from the Circulation Desk until the third Saturday of the month. Click the big blue button below to get started!

Registration Requirements
Due to the limited seats and resources available for registration-required programs, and the number of people on waitlists, please cancel 24 hours prior to the program if you're unable to attend. After two no-shows or late cancellations, your registration will be moved to the waitlist for future programs.
