What is Bridges and where can I use my library card?
Use your library card at any of the 24 libraries in the Bridges Library System. That includes libraries throughout Waukesha and Jefferson County.
If I live outside of Waukesha or Jefferson County, can I still get a library card?
Yes! As long as you live in Wisconsin, you can get a library card with us.
What is my library accounts password?
At the Mukwonago Community Library, your password is usually the last four digits of your phone number.
If that doesn't work, call us at (262) 363-6411 and we'll help you reset it.
Why did my library card expire & how do I renew it?
Your library card expires every 18 months. This helps us keep your contact information up to date.

How many books can I check out?
With your library card, you can check out up to 250 items at a time.

Where are my held items kept and for how long?
The Mukwonago Community Library has an open holds shelf near the front entrance. Find your items by looking under the first four letters of your last name.
Your holds will stay on the shelf for 5 days before they're returned.
How do I renew my books?
You can renew your items online by logging into your CAFÉ Libraries account or by calling us at (262) 363-6411.
Please note: Items can't be renewed if they're on hold for another patron or if they're specialty items like Lucky Day materials and Thingery items.
Where do I return my books?
The Mukwonago Community Library has two book drops—one inside and one outside. Our outside book drop is open 24/7. Our inside book drop is only open during library hours.
You can return most items at any of the 24 libraries in the Bridges Library System. Find the complete list of member libraries.
Please note: Some materials must be returned inside the Mukwonago Community Library. These may include Thingery items, hotspots, and Switch games.

Does the library charge overdue fines?
Good news! The Mukwonago Community Library is fine-free on most items. You won't be charged late fees on books, DVDs, or magazines.

Can I print directly from my phone?

Can I scan a document to my email?
Yes! Scanning is free. Learn more about scanning.
Can I send a fax from the library?
Yes! Our public copier works as a fax machine. Faxes cost $0.50 per page.
