The Mukwonago Historical Society (MHS) has approved sponsoring/hosting public showings of a docudrama about a real Cold War spy, titled The Rise and Fall of an American Spy by East Troy resident, Gary Cox. The historic documentary will be co-hosted by the Mukwonago Community Library and shown in the Community Room at the Library on Saturday, January 22, 2022. 

The two-hour documentary is a movie in two parts and covers true story of Cold War spy, Werner Juretzko: a man from Silesia, a historic section of Poland, who became caught up in the N.A.T.O. defense against the threat of a possible Soviet invasion of Western Europe and the communists’ covert intervention into Western European countries during the 1950s Cold War conflict.
