Ron Rindo

Ron Rindo retired from the Department of English at UW Oshkosh in May, 2025, after teaching American Literature, Nature Writing, and Fiction Writing for 33 years. He has published three short story collections and two novels, most recently Life, and Death, and Giants, released in September, 2025, by St. Martin’s Press in the U.S. and simultaneously by MacMillan in the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand. A Wisconsin native, Ron was raised in Muskego and returned to Wisconsin in the early 1990s after teaching for three years at Birmingham-Southern College in Alabama. He and his wife, Jenna, raised five children on five acres in rural Pickett, where they currently tend an apple orchard, large vegetable and flower gardens, and a flock of laying hens.
