Start your library career with us! The Mukwonago Community Library seeks a team-oriented candidate with exceptional customer service skills and a passion for libraries to work with our dynamic and innovative Collections and Programs Team. Must be excited to develop and deliver programs using all spaces in the library including collaborating with the staff in our makerspace, the MetaSpace 511. Duties include providing reader’s advisory and reference services at the Info Desk, delivering programs, and assisting with basic collection development. Must be friendly, cooperative, comfortable with technology, and able to work independently. Current MLIS students encouraged to apply.
Hours: Current requirement is an average of 20 hours per week. The following shifts are required:
- Mondays: 1:00–5:00 PM
- Tuesdays: 1:00–4:00 PM
- Fridays: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Rotating Saturdays
Remaining hours will be scheduled in coordination with the selected candidate.
Pay rate: $17.31 – $20.00 an hour depending upon experience
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Skilled in utilizing technology to conduct all aspects of the job including communication, record keeping, and customer service
- Ability to communicate in a friendly and cooperative manner to staff and library visitors
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- Experience working in libraries, education, or similar jobs
