2020 MCL Summer Reading Challenge:

* June 15th – August 15th *

It’s been fun, but our 2020 Summer Library Program is coming to a close. You still have a few days to log those reading minutes and get entered into our grand prize drawings! Due to the pandemic, the program looks a little different this year but there’s still time to get involved. Click HERE to get started or continue reading for full details.

Due to the impact COVID-19 has had on our community, we have decided to support local businesses and organizations that have so generously supported *us* in the past. While all challenge participants will earn a shot at our grand prize — an Orion SpaceProbe Telescope, the majority of all other rewards and prizes will be gift cards and purchases from local stores and restaurants.

We have challenges for four different age groups.

  • Preschool Challenge for ages 0-4
  • School Age Challenge for ages 5-12
  • Teen Challenge for ages 13-17
  • Adult Challenge for ages 18+

The bulk of our summer reading program will be done online using the reading-log platform, Beanstack. With Beanstack you can keep track of your reading, earn online badges to help make your reading a habit, and be entered into drawings and raffles.

COVID-19 Information Portal

Corona 5

We designed this Information Portal to support the immediate need for trusted information in our community regarding the COVID-19/coronavirus pandemic. It includes current updates and FAQs from the library, reliable sources of health and financial information nationally, in Wisconsin, and locally. You’ll also find small business resources and help. And finally, we’ve got a few “Save Your Sanity Resources” just to help take your mind off the crazy times we live in.

All About Curbside Pick-up […see more]

MCL is offering contactless and by appointment curbside pick-up of library materials. Place a hold on library materials and you can swing by and pick them up in the library’s Community Room. We’ll have limited staff so wait times will be a little longer than usual. We’re definitely eager to get you your library materials! Please keep in mind this plan has been designed to provide safe access to the library materials.

Follow these three easy steps to pick-up materials without needing to come into the main part of the library:

Step #1: Place Your Items on Hold

  • Use our website, to search the CAFÉ catalog for items you are looking for.
  • Or, you can always call us (262) 363-6411, ext. 4 and leave a message. Don’t forget you can send us an e-mail at too.
  • Please remember wait times will be longer than usual.

Step #2: Watch for Your Hold Notification

  • When you receive your hold notification (either via email or text,) please call the library at (262) 363-6411 ext. 3 to schedule a pick-up time.
  • Items will then be placed in the library’s Community Room during the chosen time slot. There will be a slip with the first four letters of your last name and the first initial of your first name attached to your items.

Step #3: Pick Up Your Items

  • There will be tables clearly marked in the library’s Community Room.
  • Your items will be labeled with your hold slip. Be sure to practice the appropriate social distancing if others are picking up during the same time slot.
  • Grab your items and enjoy!

We are not accepting donations at this time. Please hold onto your donations until the library reopens.

Please also do not attempt to use curbside pickup as a manner to return materials. This is essential to maintain safe handling of all materials.
