In February, Mukwonago Community Library is partnering with other libraries in Waukesha and Jefferson counties to show our communities how libraries transform lives. Libraries Transform highlights the transformative nature of today’s libraries and illustrates the critical role libraries play in the digital age. Today’s libraries are no longer about what libraries HAVE for people, but for what libraries DO for people.
How has the library transformed your life? We want to know what the library means to you! Share your library story with us.
Stop in at any public library in Waukesha or Jefferson counties and pick up a brochure highlighting special events for adults, teens, and kids happening at all 24 libraries throughout the month of February. You can also DOWNLOAD THE BROCHURE HERE. And if you attend programs at any 3 or more different libraries, you’ll be entered in a prize drawing.
Many thanks to all who participated in our special event Feb. 10th
On Saturday, February 10th, nearly 500 members of our community stopped by to celebrate other cultures and countries spanning the globe! We shared food, music, games, performances, and more from representatives of cultures from around the world including: Austrian, Canadian, Chinese, Colombian, Cornish, French, Georgian, German, Hmong, Indian, Irish, Italian, Nigerian, Polish, Scottish, and Welsh.
The Mukwonago Community Library would like to thank all who attended and all the presenters who made this such a special event for our community. We would also like to extend our gratitude to the library’s Teen Library Council and the Friends of the Mukwonago Community Library, whose help and generosity made our Cultural Showcase the success it was. Our sincerest appreciation to you all, and keep your eyes peeled for next year.
