2019 Summer Art Competition

The Teen Library Council of the Mukwonago Community Library will be conducting an art competition again this summer. Our goal through this competition is to showcase artists in our area, as art is essential to the culture, diversity, and beauty of the community.

What Can I Submit?

You may submit any piece or type of art media you feel best displays the motif. Digital, Anime, and Manga artwork will also be accepted.

The Motif:

“The World Around Us”

Whether directly or indirectly, your piece of art must display this motif in some manner.

Judging Divisions:

Young Adults: Ages 13-18

Adults: Ages 19+

Details of Judging:

  • How will judging operate? — The top three submissions from each judging division will be chosen by judges selected by the Mukwonago Community Library. Artwork is judged based on the artist’s interpretation of the motif, creativeness, and effort. Following the completion of the judging process, the top three submissions from each division will be displayed, and library patrons will vote for their favorite submission in each judging division. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes will be awarded in each division by the number of votes the artist receives.
  • How many will be recognized? — All artwork entered into the competition will be showcased throughout the library. The top three submissions in each division will receive a special recognition.
  • What do the top submissions in each division receive? — Prizes for the top three submissions in each category are determined by the number of votes the submission received from the public:
    • 1st Place: $100 VISA gift card
    • 2nd Place: $50 VISA gift card
    • 3rd Place: $25 VISA gift card
